Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for promoting SMSA in the Sprott, Carleton, and Ottawa community. The successful candidate will report to the VP Marketing, and will take a leadership role in providing content for SMSA's social media channels.  This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to use their creativity, graphic design, and copywriting skills while becoming more familiar with social media marketing!

Weekly time commitment: 3 hours

Responsibilities​

• Under the direction of the VP Marketing, create a variety of content for SMSA's social media channels, including:​ Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn Facebook

• This will include the weekly creation of graphic/image content on Canva for use in:

  • Instagram Stories​

  • Instagram Posts

  • LinkedIn Posts

• Sharing social media content from other Sprott clubs and organizations

Qualifications

• Recommended for a First or Second Year Student

• Creativity, open-mindedness and reliability

• Strong organization skills

• At least one year of experience using Canva or other graphic design software
