Director of Social Media

The Director of Social Media will be responsible in assisting the Vice President of Marketing to ensure a consistent and effective organizational social media image for SMSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creating the social media content to promote upcoming SMSA events and initiatives. In addition, the Director of Social Media will find ways to further enhance the SMSA brand via its social media platforms. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Working closely with the  Vice President of Marketing on web marketing activity to promote upcoming events and initiatives.

  • Working closely with Director of Content and Graphics on coordinating marketing collateral

  • Management of social media platforms  and web content for upcoming events and initiatives

  • Tracking social media engagement and analytics

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Previous experience and familiarity with social media management and web design experience

  • Active involvement with Sprott and Carleton student life will be considered an asset

  • Creative and up-to-date with current social media and web marketing trends

  • Ability to maintain an engaging, fun and professional brand image of SMSA

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Must be able to handle constructive criticism and rejection

  • Must be creative, open-minded, reliable, and committed
